1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, installing, or using WrittaShot, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software. WrittaShot is developed and published by Dotting S.R.L. ("we", "us", "our").

2. License Grant

Upon purchase, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use WrittaShot on your personal devices. This is a one-time purchase — there is no recurring fee for the core application.

• You may install WrittaShot on multiple devices you personally own
• You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share your license key with others
• You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software

3. Intellectual Property

WrittaShot and all associated trademarks, logos, and code are the intellectual property of Dotting S.R.L. Your purchase grants you a license to use the software, not ownership of the software itself.

Your content is yours. We claim no ownership or rights over the screenplays, projects, characters, or any other creative work you produce using WrittaShot.

4. AI Features

WrittaShot offers optional AI-powered features (shot breakdowns, prompt generation) that use the Anthropic Claude API. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

• Scene content is sent to Anthropic for processing
• AI-generated suggestions are provided as-is and may not always be accurate
• You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content
• AI features require either your own Claude API key (BYOK) or an active credit plan subscription

5. Credit Plans

Optional AI credit plans are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy. You may cancel at any time. Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period. Credit plan pricing and token allowances are subject to change with reasonable notice.

6. Payments and Refunds

All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Refund requests are handled according to Lemon Squeezy's refund policy. If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using WrittaShot, please contact us before requesting a refund so we can attempt to resolve the issue.

7. Data and Privacy

Your projects are stored locally on your device. We do not have servers that store your creative work. For full details on how we handle data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

WrittaShot is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all systems. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of AI-generated content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dotting S.R.L. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of WrittaShot, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

10. Updates

We may release updates to WrittaShot from time to time. Updates may include bug fixes, new features, or changes to existing functionality. While we strive to maintain backward compatibility, we cannot guarantee it for all updates.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your license if you violate these terms, including but not limited to redistributing the software or sharing license keys. Upon termination, you must cease all use of WrittaShot and delete all copies.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Italian Republic. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of WrittaShot after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
