End User License Agreement

1. Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User") and Dotting S.R.L. ("Licensor", "we", "us") for the use of the WrittaShot desktop application ("Software"). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

2. License Grant

We grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use WrittaShot on your personal devices. This is a one-time purchase — there is no recurring fee for the core application.

• You may install WrittaShot on multiple devices you personally own
• The license is granted to you as an individual, not to an organization
• The license is valid indefinitely from the date of purchase

3. Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the Software or any portion thereof
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Software
• Use the Software for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Transfer, sublicense, lease, rent, or otherwise assign your rights under this EULA to any third party
• Redistribute, resell, or share your license key with others
• Use the Software in any way that infringes upon the rights of others

4. Intellectual Property

The Software, including all code, graphics, user interface designs, trademarks, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Dotting S.R.L. and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. This EULA grants you a license to use the Software; it does not transfer ownership of the Software or any intellectual property rights to you.

Your content is yours. We claim no ownership or rights over the screenplays, projects, characters, storyboards, or any other creative work you produce using WrittaShot. All creative output belongs entirely to you.

5. AI Features

The Software includes optional AI-powered features (shot breakdowns, prompt generation) that connect to third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude API). Use of these features is subject to the following:

• AI features require either your own API key (BYOK) or an active credit plan subscription
• Scene content is transmitted to Anthropic for processing when you use AI features
• AI-generated content is provided "as is" without any warranty of accuracy
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content
• AI features are optional and the core application functions without them

6. Data and Privacy

WrittaShot is a desktop application that stores all project data locally on your device. We do not have servers that store your creative work. For complete details on data handling, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

7. Updates

We may release updates to the Software from time to time. Updates may include bug fixes, new features, or changes to existing functionality. While we strive to maintain backward compatibility, we cannot guarantee it for all updates. Your license entitles you to receive updates as they are released.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ALL SYSTEMS OR CONFIGURATIONS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DOTTING S.R.L. BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

10. Termination

This EULA is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term or condition of this agreement. We reserve the right to revoke your license if you violate this EULA, including but not limited to redistributing the Software or sharing license keys. Upon termination, you must:

• Cease all use of the Software immediately
• Delete or destroy all copies of the Software in your possession
• Remove the Software from all devices on which it is installed

Termination of this EULA does not affect your ownership of any creative work produced using the Software prior to termination.

11. Governing Law

This EULA is governed by the laws of the Italian Republic. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this EULA shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.

12. Changes to This EULA

We may update this End User License Agreement from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by displaying a notice within the application. Changes will also be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of WrittaShot after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated agreement.

13. Severability

If any provision of this EULA is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remainder of this EULA shall remain in full force and effect.
